Vice President, Engineering

Remote, US

At Furl, we’re building the first agentic remediation platform for IT security — technology that closes the gap between identifying risk and actually fixing it. Today, most organizations surface more vulnerabilities than they can handle. We’re changing that by enabling safe, automated remediation across macOS, Windows, and soon Linux. We ingest security and operational signals, classify them into concrete remediation targets, and use an endpoint agent to collect real-time telemetry and execute fixes. Agentic workflows generate and validate fix plans, which are deployed safely at scale through policy-driven autonomy.

As an early member of the Furl team, you’ll be part of a fast-growing startup backed by strong seed investors, and working closely with the founding team to shape both our product and our culture. We move quickly, value ownership, and are committed to delivering customer value over perfection.

About the Role:

The VP of Engineering will lead Furl’s growing engineering team. As a remote-first company, we are looking for a leader who can build and retain high-performing teams remotely. You’ll shape technical strategy, scale hiring, and instill processes that balance speed and quality. Partnering closely with the CTO and founders, you’ll ensure our engineering execution meets customer needs and supports rapid growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Own engineering hiring, management, and mentorship.
  • Translate product roadmap into technical execution plans.
  • Establish engineering best practices and culture.
  • Ensure quality, reliability, and scalability in our SaaS platform.
  • Collaborate with leadership on product roadmap and priorities.
  • Contribute to the codebase when needed, setting a strong technical example for the team.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years in leadership roles.
  • Proven experience scaling SaaS engineering teams (seed to growth stage a plus).
  • Strong technical background in Golang, Node, Python, or related stacks.
  • Excellent people leadership, process building, and execution skills.
